Countryside Quest

This is a submission for OSTCompJam Crunchtime 4, in which you have to write a soundtrack for an imaginary game in 48 hours. With the theme "Freedom", I came up with an idea of an exploration game, with the story being that the protagonist, a teenage guy called Tom, gets really tired and burnt out on city life, and his parents take him on a trip during summer vacation to the village where his grandparents live. All sorts of adventures ensue, such as falling in love (track 4) and finding treasures in an old warehouse (I never got to writing this one :( ). By the end of the trip, Tom is happy to get back to the city, satisfied and no longer burnt out.

Once again I'm submitting chiptune to the jam. I think I wasn't feeling it as much and procrastinated a lot, but at the same time I must've improved since the last time. I also drew the cover art by myself this time.

I used Furnace Tracker to write the music, and Aseprite to draw the cover art.
